Working with commercials is a high precision surgery job. Making the colors look the same as they are in real life is a must. This makes grading very limited, so only professionals who know what they are doing are the ones who can do this task properly. We use calibrated screens which can work with color spaces higher than rec709 which are just delivery color spaces. Also DaVinci Resolve software allows us to work in davinci wide gammut which is a 32bit float color space. This way we can do non destructive editing without a fear of clipping highlights, shadows or saturation.
